ONUS! Rome vs Carthage – Core game

Have you ever dreamed of commanding a powerful army? Have you ever imagined leading troops, which included elephants over the Pyrenees and the Alps to try to conquer Rome? Have you enjoyed a good historical novel dated on the old Republic of Rome, and you would like to travel to that time?

ONUS! is an amusing game that allows you to play epic historical battles:

  • Punic Wars with Romans, Carthaginians and Mercenaries.
  • Persian wars with Greek Poleis and the Persian Empire.
  • Peloponnesus War with Athens and Sparta and other polies.
  • Or your own battles.

ONUS! Rome vs Carthage (core game)

ONUS! is a wargame set in the Ancient Era, in where you can recreate some of the epic battles that took place between these powerful empires. The 1st edition has been a bestseller in Spain, leading us to look for funds to produce the English version along with two new expansions:

  • ONUS! Greeks & Persians: a new world comes into play, with their unique set of units and additional rules.
  • ONUS! Scenery & Fortresses: you will be able to choose your own battlefield, with different types of terrain and fortresses, and new rules related to sieges and incendiary projectiles.

There are 90 unit cards, 24 different units, 4 help cards in where you can see all the possible bonuses and penalties that may apply during a battle and 2 recommended army cards, which may be used as a guide to build up your army.

Roman units: Triarii, Princeps, Hastati, Velites, Armed civilians, Sagittarii Archers, Ala Equites and Cohors Equites.

Carthaginian units: Punic Phalanx, Sacred Battalion, Lusitan infantry, Libyan lancers, Armed civilians, Punic archers, Elephants and Punic cavalry.

Mercenaries or Allies: Balearic slingers, Numidian Cavalry, Hispanic Cavalry, Celtiberians, Iberians, Gauls, Ballists and Onagers.

A deck of 72 double cards representing Events and Orders that will determine the aftermath of the battle.

The box measures are 9.1″ x 5.9″ x 2.2″ (23x15x5,5cm) so it is easy to carry and manipulate.
